We just finished talking about the seasons and our favorite things about them, and we hoped you enjoyed them. Now, however, we’re on to tastier conversations! We’re talking about the most interesting restaurants we’ve visited and the best food we’ve ever eaten. This week we hear from our writer Katie McGrath and her interesting restaurant haunts.

What is your favorite food/dish to make/have at home and why?

My favourite dish is mouth-watering roast beef or steak with mashed potatoes, steamed veg, and gravy OR a tomato and basil based pasta dish.

What is your favorite restaurant to visit and why?

Eco Douglas restaurant promotes fresh, varied, and delicious food. I am on a gluten-free diet but they cater fully to my dietary restrictions. The portion sizes are generous and the
desserts are delightful. The staff is friendly and the service is fast and efficient. It is close to my home so I am supporting a local business too.

Favorite type of food and why?

I am a daily meat and veg eater. The combo satisfies my appetite and keeps me from
excessive snacking.

You have to stop for fast food, where are you going?

I am limited in fast food choices but I enjoy thick, chunky chips from Lennox Chip Shop or delicious fries and bun-less burgers from McDonald’s.

What is the best thing you’ve ever eaten?

I am torn between 2 dishes. I enjoy a delicious chicken, pasta, and tomato/basil based dish from Eco Douglas Restaurant and a roast beef dinner from the Elm Tree restaurant.
